We
have just returned our 2 weeks in Gran Canaria and
thought you’d like to know that we found your walking
guides really excellent. We found the route descriptions
were clear and the times very realistic for our pace.
We had a
great 2 weeks of excellent hiking – the whole experience
surpassed our expectations. Many
thanks for the invaluable advice you gave us so
willingly pre-departure

:-)
Once I have received your e-mail order you
will receive details of my PayPal account or
any other payment details you require ( I

All walks
in both Guides include a map, however a map of Gran Canaria should be
purchased to accompany my Guide to get the ‘big picture’ as
my maps are only very local to give a rough guide of the
route.
|
The format of both versions of the
Guide is loose-leaf, designed to enable you to take an individual walk
description with you rather than a hefty book - this way you
can just take that description, a
map and a compass!

hiking equipment
and
safety. |

Over
the years, Roger and Eileen have explored every Camino Real and
almost every track up there, in order to compile a dossier of
mostly circular walks, of unequalled quality. Roger prides
himself on keeping off tarmac as much as possible and also on
providing you with the bus times you require to reach the start
and get back from the end of each walk - essential details which
are omitted from all walking books I have seen for this island

I
have now been walking regularly in the mountains of Gran Canaria
over the last 5 years. It is an amazing island - it is
truly a miniature continent - so varied, that you never get
tired of walking on the more than 1200 km of footpaths, that the
locals claim the island has.
And maybe the most important thing: The weather - it
is said to be spring all year long and that is ideal for
walking. I can't think of any better place to walk Jens Ole Jespersen, Agüimes
